Flowers have many roles in nature and they have always been used by humans for many and varied purposes. There are flowers with medicinal properties, some of them have the pleasure of being used for decorative purposes and to help create a desired atmosphere at special events and times. Many flowers have a pleasant fragrance, some spread an odor in the environment in which they are grown or placed (after being picked) and some are used to produce perfume.
There are flowers that are used for seasoning and there are even those that are used for real food and have excellent nutritional values (e.g. cauliflower).
In this article we will describe in a very general way what can be done with flowers, we will mention only a few species of flowers as examples for each use that we will raise, we will clarify that we can not cover this huge topic and the article is intended to provide only a glimpse into the world of useful flowers.
If we ask someone what can be done with flowers there is no doubt that the first area that comes to mind is the bouquets, the flower arrangements used by us to express sensitive messages such as romantic love feelings, various greetings (e.g. on the occasion of a baby), appreciation and gratitude (e.g. when invited to a holiday ).
The natural beauty of flowers, which are among the most spectacular creations in nature, serves us for a variety of needs. Weaving flowers for decorative purposes has become an art in many cultures around the world. Flower arrangements are used to create an atmosphere in banquet halls, on conference tables, a single flower may be placed in a handsome vessel in the center of a table in a cafe, and bouquets of flowers regularly adorn living rooms in many homes.

Over the years various flowers have begun to be attributed a certain meaning, so for example a red rose is a symbol of romantic love. In the past, flowers were also used to encrypt real messages such as reports and military orders.
Humans have been exploiting the medicinal properties of flowers since the dawn of history. In many cultures, over time, extensive knowledge of this matter has accumulated. Medicinal concoction is one of the earliest things listed on what can be done with flowers.
There are flowers that are simply used for food. Perhaps because such flowers are not colorful and delicate many of us are not at all aware that certain common foods are made of flowers for everything. There are flowers whose pleasant scent is used for the preparation of perfumes, the scent of soaps, the scent of candles, air fresheners and more. Examples of such flowers are jasmine, lavender and rose.
